Amazon's latest sale bonanza, known as Prime Big Deal Days, is here as the retailer cut prices across its website ahead of Black Friday. The catch? The deals are only available to Prime members, who usually have to pay £8.99 a month, there is one way eager shoppers can get access for free.

The sale which runs throughout October 11 and 12, will see hundreds of the latest tech gadgets, household products, fashion items, and beauty buys cut in price. It's come as a surprise to many, in what's thought to be a huge shopping celebration towards the global Black Friday price cuts this November.

And whilst many get ready to bag a 'bargain' on the retail giants site those who aren't members can get complete access for free. Yes, you can make the most of Amazons discounts buy signing up for a Prime membership, and not pay a penny to do so. Once the sale is over you'll be able to cancel for free too.

Unlike rival online retailers, Amazon doesn't give all shoppers access to its deductions, and signing up to its membership is the only way to save money in the sales. Depending on the price drops available some would argue it's not much of a saving as you have to pay the monthly fee to get access, but of course this all depends on what you buy.

So far, we've seen early discounts of up to £300 off its range of Fire TVs, money-off its smart speaker devices like Echo Dots and Pops, as well as 20% off its own brand of eReaders; Kindles. There's discounts on household tech too like Dyson, Shark and Bosch vacuum's, although a quick shop around would show shoppers not all of its sale prices are a huge 'money-saving', in some instances you could end up paying more - as we found thanks to Dyson's rival Autumn sale.

Having said that, there's no harm in signing up for the 30-day free Amazon Prime trial, as once you come to an end of the freebie period you won't be charged a penny to leave. Plus, you can still reap the benefits of Prime Video, free Deliveroo Plus, next-day delivery, music and extra photo storage right up until the last day of the trial.

The Prime retailer isn't the only store to launch autumnal discounts, if you're looking for a saving without the added admin of signing up to a free trial you could head over to the likes of Currys, John Lewis, Very and eBay to shop current sale stock.
