If you own an iPhone, we'd advise you head to the settings and download a very important update from Apple. The US technology firm has released a software patch overnight which addresses two serious security flaws and also fixes a bug that is causing some devices to get a little too hot under the collar.
If you head to your settings you'll find iOS 17.0.3 is available now and, once installed, will make sure your iPhone is safe from an attack that has been given a dreaded Zero-day rating.
For those not aware, zero-day means that hackers are already aware of the glitch and could be exploiting it - that's why it's so important to install things as soon as possible.
"Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 16.6," the firm said on its security pages.
Along with those security issues being mended, iOS 17.0.3 will also be a relief to anyone who purchased a new iPhone 15 recently.
Since this device launched late last month, numerous reports have flooded in of devices getting a bit toasty - something Apple has since confirmed is true.
The US technology giant had already said that it had found a bug in iOS 17 that was causing the overheating issue and this latest release should make sure that no longer happen.
"This update provides important bug fixes and security updates, and addresses an issue that may cause iPhone to run warmer than expected," Apple's release notes state.
If you have an iPhone already iOS 17 then we'd recommend installing this release ASAP. It's around 500MB in size so might be best performed when at home and connected to your Wi-Fi.
