In an earth-shattering interview on Good Morning America promoting his new book "Endgame," royal author Omid Scobie, who has often been hailed as Meghan Markle's and Prince Harry's "mouthpiece," shared his thoughts on Harry and William's relationship.

Revealing his thoughts on their relationship following the release of Harry's book Spare, Omid said it was "upsetting" to learn that nothing had changed between the brothers, with them both still having a non-existent relationship.

He shared: "Harry was hoping for a reconciliation following his book." Omid continued: "It was a little upsetting to discover none of this has changed."

Scobie, 42, previously teased the book on GMA in a one-on-one interview with the outlet on Monday, where he shared a number of insider tidbits about the Royal Family - from claiming to know the identities of the "royal racists" who made comments about Prince Archie's skin colour to the feud between Prince Harry and Prince William and the rift between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles.

It officially came out on Tuesday and has been described as "a penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy" that contains moments the family should be "ashamed of."

Amid controversy surrounding the book and its claims, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have distanced themselves from Scobie, who has continued to insist that he doesn't have a personal relationship with Meghan — stating instead that they share "mutual friends." He recently admitted in an interview with The Standard that he did get information from the couple's team despite previous claims that he has no official relationship with the pair.

"There's enough people around them and in their orbit who know the ins and outs of things," he told the outlet, referencing the groundbreaking information he reports in his book about the details behind how Harry found out about the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. He did maintain, however, that he did not speak to the couple themselves to acquire the explosive details.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Scobie posted: "And let's get this nonsense out the way - #ENDGAME is about the current state of the British Royal Family. It's not 'Harry and Meghan’s book', I'm not 'Meg’s pal', the Sussexes have nothing to do with it, their story is a small part of a much bigger one you can read in 12 days."

He did admit, however, that while he and Meghan aren't "pals," she did reach out to him to check on his well-being after he began to receive threats online amid some of his reporting and research on Prince Harry and Prince William's rivalry. He told GMA that he often felt "caught up" in the drama and said that Meghan had called him "just to check in" and make sure he was OK after the backlash he received.

Some of the bombshells from both the new book and Scobie's GMA appearance that have already been revealed include his claims that he knows the identity of the two members of The Firm who commented on Prince Archie's skin colour — though he said he wasn't legally able to disclose the identity of the two due to UK laws — an action by Prince William that caused "irreparable damage" to his and Prince Harry's relationship and how Prince Harry is beginning to remedy his relationship with his father, the King.

The book also discusses Meghan's place in the Royal Family and what The Firm thinks of her, including why she wasn't allowed at the late Queen's bedside as she neared death, Prince William's comments about her "opinionated" nature and an instance in which she was told to "be more Black" during a visit to Africa as part of her former Royal duties.

Scobie seems to believe that the tensions between Meghan and King Charles and Prince Harry and the monarch can be remedied, or at the very least can be improved. But he also detailed the detrimental effects of the vacate order King Charles gave to Harry and Meghan regarding Frogmore Cottage after the pair moved officially to the US. Their children, King Charles' grandchildren, have been the subject of many conversations, Scobie alleges.
