The Fire TV Stick might be the most popular streaming device on the planet but one rival could offer an enticing alternative. Roku is also famed for beaming content into homes via the web and one range of devices that have this platform baked in has received a massive discount.

It's just been confirmed that Tesco is now selling Sharp Roku TVs at new low prices with things starting from just £139. That's for the smaller 32-inch model (RRP £189) but there's also £100 off the larger 55-inch device as well with this telly now just £299.

Both of these screens come loaded up with Roku's streaming service which offers instant access to a swathe of premium services such as Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+.

There are also plenty of free things to watch as well thanks to the inclusion of the Roku channel and apps such BBC iPlayer, ITVX and more.

If that all sounds enticing then you'll need to act fast. This deal ends on November 29. You'll also need a Tesco Clubcard to get the reduction and it's only available in stores and not online.

For those who would still rather have their streaming powered by Amazon, there are some smaller discounts available on the latest Fire TVs as well.

For example, the 32-inch 2-Series screen is currently reduced to £229.99 and the 43-inch 4-series 4K device is £329.99 saving £100.

Just like the Roku-powered goggleboxes, Amazon's screens have Fire TV built in so there's no need for external dongles to get your nightly boxset binge.
