These are available on both standard Freeview TVs as well as Freeview Play, which is the platform's streaming service.

The free channels include Sky Mix which broadcasts a variety of Sky TV shows including Cobra and A League of Their Own

'Sky Mix' brings a number of premium Sky shows to Freeview for anyone to watch, meaning you can enjoy a variety of TV including 'A League of Their Own', 'Rob & Romesh Vs', and 'Cobra'. On top of that, there's a new channel for films and even one that lets you watch classic shows like Robot Wars.

All of the new channels include:

  • Amazing Facts (Channel 288, streaming)
  • Nyx (Channel 289, streaming)
  • Mech+ (Channel 290, streaming)
  • Sky Mix (Channel 11)

On top of that, a number of classic Freeview Channels have been rebranded.

This includes regional channels as well as classic TV:

  • TalkBirmingham (Channel 7; formerly 'Birmingham TV')
  • TalkLeeds (Channel 7; formerly 'Leeds TV')
  • TalkCardiff (Channel 8; formerly 'Cardiff TV')
  • TalkLiverpool (Channel 7; formerly 'Liverpool TV')
  • TalkNorthWales (Channel 8; formerly 'North Wales TV')

  • That's 70s (Channel 71; formerly 'That's 60s')
  • That's 90s (Channel 75; formerly 'That's 80s')
  • That's Christmas MCR (Channel 76; formerly 'That's 60s MCR')
  • That's 60s MCR (Channel 77; formerly 'That's 70s MCR)

Freeview is instructing users to retune their TV in order to update their TV guide with the new channels. To do this, press the Menu button on your remote control and then look for an option that says 'setup', 'installation', or 'update'.

Follow the steps on-screen until you find something called 'Full retune', 'first-time installation', 'factory reset' or 'default settings'). Then press OK and your retune should automatically begin. Just make sure you save the channels that are found.
