I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! fans were left scratching their heads on Wednesday night when Nella Rose's medical emergency was completely ignored by the show's hosts and her co-stars.
The 26-year-old YouTube star was abruptly omitted from a vote on Tuesday night, having been taken out of camp to have a medical emergency addressed. But as Wednesday's episode aired, Nella was shown looking healthy and happy as she returned to the camp - without anyone asking her how she was or what had happened.
Show hosts Ant and Dec had previously mentioned that Nella had been forced to drop out the running to be nominated for a task as she needed to be assessed by medical experts. Dec explained on Tuesday: “Now, unfortunately, Nella is being seen by the medic so she'll be back later, but it means she's now exempt from this trial. So let's go in there and see who will be doing it."
As the show returned on Wednesday night, the hosts failed to give an update on Nella or give any insight into her condition. Then minutes into the show airing, fans saw that the star was back in the camp looking as happy as Larry.
Taking to social media, many viewers questioned what had happened to Nella. - and expressed frustrations over the fact her condition had not been addressed. And some even questioned the validity of the explanation that Nella had to be omitted from a trial due to medical reasons.
Taking to X/Twitter, one fan wrote: "@imacelebrity why was NELLA back in the camp after apparently off to the doctors for health reasons laughing & joking? There was nothing wrong with her apart from crying because she was voted for the trials. A complete drama queen and ITV falling for it. Taking the piss is ITV."
Another grumbled: "The only reason Nigel was in that tank was because Nella bottled it and couldn’t do it on medical grounds! Yeah right!" And another fan asked: "The only other reason is Nella was exempt at the very last second after everyone voted for her. #ImaCeleb."
Nella had previously been involved in a task with live snakes - and one coiled itself around her arm. Before her abrupt removal from camp was revealed on Tuesday, she had been whisked away by medics to get treatment.

A source told The Sun following the incident: "It was unfortunate timing that Nella had to be taken out of camp just before the live scenes. She had to be seen by the team with a physical, medical emergency but it was dealt with swiftly. Nella has had a rough time so far but she is a tough cookie and will be back smiling and laughing with the other campmates in no time - this wasn't anything to do with her mental health."
An ITV spokesperson also confirmed that Nella had been removed from camp due to medical reasons. They said: "During last night's live broadcast, Nella Rose required medical treatment on site and was deemed unable to take part in the trial. Nella has since rejoined camp."
Meanwhile, co-star Jamie Lynn Spears became the second star to quit the show after scenes showed her struggling to cope with being away from her family. The 32-year-old’s exit was announced on Wednesday with an ITV spokesperson revealing: "Jamie Lynn Spears has left I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities."
Her exit came two days after food critic Grace Dent quit the show for medical reasons of her own. On Monday, an ITV spokesperson said: “Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."
