Are you referring to prison populations being lightened up by releasing inmates who were ready to be released in the near future anyway? Look at how other states and countries are able to keep their prison populations down. California does not need to make harsher consequences that fill prisons. It needs to focus on what qualifies as real crime deserving of incarceration.

I think you missed Spotlight’s point. They are reporting on the negative ads that Chavez backers have been using. How could that promote her? In fact, this was the main article that appeared in my online search after receiving a “smear” mailer.

That sounds like a situation well-handled. Mike Wasserman always has seemed very tuned in and efficient.

The painting is valued at $150k, the County is offered a $25k discount, so it’s likely an investment. It surely would bring joy to those in a hospital setting (it’s common to display art in hospitals). That’s money well spent in my opinion.

I’m here to read about Matt, and your comment about the County and Cindy’s race for mayor of San Jose does not seem relevant.

That’s so well said. Smear tactics always make me feel protective of the target.

Are you referring to prison populations being lightened up by releasing inmates who were ready to be released in the near future anyway? And who’s talking about taking guns away from the law-abiding? Why did you say that?

It is always about the guns, who cares about the criminals. Not the governor. The attack on our fundamental 2A right is going way too far. They all took an oath to protect the constitution. But yet they attack it. You want common sense? How about stop supporting the criminals with legislation that weakens the consequences. The whole point here is to take away our Second Amendment and release as many criminals from the prison system. Prop 47, prop 57, and for the pedophiles, Sb145. It is disgusting. Yet swindled to be a good thing.
