Jamie Lynn Spears had some telling words to her co-star, just hours before she quit I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

The actress and singer - and sister of Britney Spears - quit the show this morning, with her final scenes set to air on the reality show this evening (Wednesday). She has quit the show on medical grounds, with sources revealing she was really missing her kids.

In a statement, a show spokesperson said: "Jamie Lynn Spears has left I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities."

However, Jamie Lynn has quit the show on medical grounds and reflecting on what happened during last night's episode, it seems like quitting had been on her mind for a while. Prior to her exit, she had raised concerns that she was ready to quit.

She had got more and more upset when her co-star Sam Thompson accused her of crying wolf. Speaking to Sam, Jamie said: "I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it here. This place is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God, please help me to make it. I think I've got to leave, I think I've got to leave."

He then responded that she was "the girl who cried wolf," but she was fuming and hit back at what he said. "I'm not the girl who cried wolf, I'm speaking honestly about my emotions," she said, to which Sam replied: "You're never leaving, you're going to be here longer than we are." Unimpressed, Jamie Lynn then snapped back: "I'm not crying wolf, I mean it every single time I say I want to leave!"

Sources have claimed that Jamie Lynn has been struggling for some time. The insider told us: "She has been struggling physically and mentally for some time. If you look back even last week this is not a complete surprise by any means."

Jamie had threatened to quit just three episodes into the series when a task to win luxury items went very wrong. She wasn't able to get her photo of her kids, her luxury item, and it left her fuming as a result.

Ranting to the show's bosses in the Bush Telegraph, she said: "I just wanted to say like, I don't get it. Why would y'all put them through that? They feel guilty. Like they didn't come back with the gifts for their friends. This is not OK, I wanna go home."

In tears, she returned to her fellow campmates, before adding: "I just went and told them, I was like you're so effed. up if you want to put them through that. I think this is not fair. I quit, I don't want to do it. I do not wanna be here, that was like f**king torture. I just want to see my kids, I will stay out here with the critters just let me see them."
