Amazon's long line of smart speakers are a go-to purchase each Black Friday season as they top the shopping list for music-loving buyers, whether it's to add to your kitchen, home office, or another piece of tech for your front room. You won't pay for the Pop speaker thanks to a seemingly discreet deal on the online retail site. The device is already on sale from £44 down to £34.98 but a closer look shows you can pick up one device for absolutely nothing. Shoppers who add two devices to their basket will get one completely free in its latest two-for-one offer.
Intrigued shoppers will have to pay the £34.98 price for one but they'll get two devices worth just under £70 delivered to their door, that's if you pick the right colours. All you need to do is use the code ECHOPOP at checkout.
An unusual quirk for a tech deal but the two-for-one offer is only available to those who add either the Lavender Bloom, Charcoal, or Glacier White devices to their basket, as the Midnight Teal is seemingly left off the list.
Those who add a second Echo Pop to their Amazon basket will slash the price down £34.98 for two, meaning you'll get a speaker for free. Fitted with full-sound, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Alexa this cheaper Echo Dot alternative has been designed to fill small spaces with sound.
What's the difference between an Echo Pop and the arguably better-known Echo Dot? The pop model was only launched this year and is a cheaper alternative than the Dot device, thanks to its smaller shape and non-surround sound speaker. Nonetheless, you can still ask Alexa to help you with most internet-related queries and listen to the radio, music and podcasts.
And while the original Echo Pop is currently not included in this deal, there is the potential it could appear closer towards Black Friday, the Echo Show 5 is another piece of own-branded tech that has it's own two-for-one offer. As a mini-tablet like device the Echo Show 5 is a lot pricier than both the Pop and Dot speakers, at £89.99, still users will be able to find themselves bagging the nearly £90 device for free.
