It might be the end of 2023 but that’s not stopping technology firms from showing off shiny new hardware. Chinese brand OnePlus is renowned for shaking up the market with it famously releasing feature-packed phones at a very cheap price. Now OnePlus is back again and is certainly giving Samsung something to think about by showing off its new flagship OnePlus 12.
Although full specs won’t be fully uncovered until its official launch next week, OnePlus has exposed plenty of upcoming features including a refreshed design with a new position for the alert slider along with a 4th generation Hasselblad camera system with a periscope telephoto lens.
A striking edge-to-edge 2K display appears ready for gaming and there's sure to be the usual OnePlus fast Warp charging.
Another bonus of buying the OnePlus 12 is that it seems almost certain that this device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
This new brain was unveiled last month and not only offers huge gains in performance but also better battery life and improvements to features such as gaming and photography.
It’s thought that Samsung will also include the Snapdragon in some of its upcoming S24 devices but rumours suggest that these devices could get a mix of Qualcomm and Samsung’s own Exynos power.
It could be a busy few months for launches. The OnePlus 12 is clearly coming soon but we’re also expecting that Samsung Galaxy S24 to be shown to the world as well.
Recent reports say that Samsung is bringing forward its usual February Unpacked event with January now the month this device could be given its grand unveiling.
