Piers Morgan has named the two royals accused of racism in Omid Scobie's new book Endgame.
The Royal Family is taking legal advice after the outspoken presenter and journalist read out the names on TalkTV last night, adding that he does not believe "any racist comments were ever made by any of the Royal Family". It comes after thousands of copies of a Dutch version of the book were pulled for identifying those who allegedly expressed concern over Harry’s son Archie’s skin colour.
Royal sources revealed “utter dismay” at the heart of the monarchy after the names were plastered across social media, trending on X for hours yesterday. The Mirror has chosen not to name the pair. Buckingham Palace is understood to be “considering all options”, including legal action.
Mr Scobie, who is due to give his first UK interview today on ITV’s This Morning, has denied including the names, insisting he was not responsible for translated passages in foreign publications. The author, often referred to as “Meghan’s pal”, due to their relationship before the release of his book Finding Freedom about Harry and Meghan’s departure from The Firm, said he knew the names, but legal restrictions in the UK barred him from publishing them.
When the Sussexes made their explosive allegations on Oprah, in an interview broadcast around the world, they set in train a public debate about who in the royal family might harbour such racially charged views. In a multicultural modern Britain such allegations against the monarchy generated debate on a matter of such public importance with Scobie's new book claiming to add to that public debate

Prince Harry v Prince William - complete feud timeline from 'teenage college snub to violent fight'
Relations have reportedly never been worse between the Prince of Wales and his younger brother Prince Harry.
But it wasn't a feud that happened overnight. Bad blood has been brewing for years following well-documented jealousies and misunderstandings, which intensified with the arrival of Harry's wife Meghan.

Scobie claims William ignored texts from Harry before Queen died
Scobie's book also claims William was involved in "things that have gone out about his own brother", that the elder brother ignored texts from Harry when the family were making their way to Balmoral before the late Queen died last year.
However, allies of the Prince of Wales have slammed the "outrageous" claims that he briefed against his brother. They say the author is "peddling" conspiracy theories "dressed up as fact".
One friend of William's told the Daily Mail he and his brother are "scarred" by their childhoods and he has "always been very tight-lipped when it comes to his family and made clear to anyone within his orbit that he would not do 'deals' with the media".
Another said: "It's one thing writing a critique of the Royal Family. That's freedom of expression. But it's another thing to peddle conspiracy theories dressed up as fact. The suggestion that [royal aides] were briefing negative stories [about Harry and Meghan] is totally fabricated. It just didn't happen. The truth is that everyone was walking on eggshells practically from the engagement trying to keep them happy."

Scobie's book claims Royal Family is 'in a crisis'
Scobie's book makes a series of claims about the royals and asserts that the future of the royal family is "in a crisis".
"That crisis being a lack of interest from young people, an apathy, a growing republican movement, questions over whether the family still uphold the morals and values of the crown that the Queen did such a great job of," Scobie told the Times.
Among the claims made in the book are that there is a rift between King Charles and Prince William, that Queen Camilla has "quietly thanked" Piers Morgan for "defending the Firm" and that a timid Princess Kate has to be encouraged to perform engagements.
Scobie says he has not interviewed Meghan and they are not friends
Omid Scobie claims he did not interview Meghan for his new book Endgame.
However, he says he shares mutual friends with her who helped source the information. The author, 42 - who previously co-wrote a biography on the Sussexes, Finding Freedom - has also insisted he is not friends with Meghan.
He told the Times this week: "I have mutual friends with (Meghan), and that definitely helps with getting information and breaking details." He says in the book Harry and Meghan are "in a good place".
The book makes a series of claims about the royals and asserts that the future of the royal family is "in a crisis", as revealed in The Times article.
Piers Morgan pulls apart huge lie in Omid Scobie's Endgame which he 'personally knows' to be untrue
Piers Morgan addressed the mentions of his name in Omid Scobie's scathing new book and branded the author "a liar" ahead of Endgame's publication on Wednesday.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 58, said he has "never had a single phone conversation" with Camilla, Queen consort amid Scobie claiming otherwise in his bombshell new biography.
Piers, who launched a savage personal attack on Scobie on Tuesday night, argued "why should I believe" anything Omid has written about the Royal Family and their tangled personal relationships based on the fact he knows "personally, just from the little bits about me – are completely untrue."

Royal Family considers legal action after Piers Morgan names two 'royal racists' on TV
The Royal Family is set to take legal advice after Piers Morgan named the two senior members at the centre of a racism row on TV.
Omid Scobie’s new book Endgame was released this week and caused shockwaves as an edition in the Netherlands appeared to mistakenly reveal the identities of the two royals accused of making derogatory remarks about the colour of Prince Harry and Meghan'sunborn son, Archie.
In a paragraph not included in the English version, a Dutch preview edition seemed to name both Royals at the centre of a race storm sparked in 2021 when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accused an unnamed senior royal of expressing 'concern' about their child's complexion.
