It's been a long time coming but Samsung is now rolling out its One UI 6 (Android 14) upgrade to a swathe of devices across Europe. Some phones, including the Galaxy S23 range, have already begun receiving this blockbuster software update and now it appears that more Samsung-branded call makers will begin seeing the download in their settings soon.

In fact, one Samsung expert - Community Manager EmilianN - has posted a full list of devices and dates on the firm's community pages and it seems that a flurry of activity is coming very soon.

According to the published table, phones including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A23 will all begin getting One UI 6 in the coming days and weeks. All compatible devices should be switched over to Android 14 by the end of the year.

If you want to know when your Galaxy device will see the changes here's the full list although it's worth noting that timings can change.

To check if your device is ready to receive One UI 6 simply head to Settings > About device > Software update > Download and install. It's a big file so make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi or else you could find you use up all of your mobile data.

Once installed there are plenty of new features which include more ways to customise how things look on the display. App icon labels are now limited to a single line for a cleaner and simpler look. "Galaxy" and "Samsung" have been removed from some app names to make them shorter and easier to scan.

There's a new stylish and modern default font along with extra emojis on the Samsung Keyboard plus the firm has changed the Quick Panel to help make it easier to find the things you use the most. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth now have their own dedicated buttons at the top of the screen, while visual features like Dark mode and Eye comfort shield have been moved to the bottom.

The Lock Screen can also be changed automatically to suit the time of day or routines you are performing. For example, when switching to sleep mode an image of a calming forest will appear to set the mood.

There is also a new custom camera widget, which lets users preselect a camera mode and a storage location — like portrait mode and a folder just for headshots.

“Our mission with One UI is to reflect the unique preferences of our users in every aspect of their mobile experience,” said Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President and Head of the Software Office, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Every iteration of One UI responds to the needs of our user community, and we look forward to user feedback on One UI 6 as we create a richer, more intuitive experience for all.”
