There's a very nice boost coming to your Samsung television that's bringing a swathe of Sky shows to the big screen for free. The bonus is all thanks to an upgrade to the Samsung TV Plus streaming service which now gets full access to Sky Mix. This channel airs shows throughout the day including programmes such as True Detective, Big Little Lies, Gangs of London, Midwich Cuckoos, A League of Their Own: Road Trip and Rob & Rom Vs.
There's nothing to pay to watch this content with Sky using the Mix platform to show off what's available on its premium offerings such as Sky Q and Sky Glass.
Along with Sky Mix coming to Samsung TV Plus, there's also the addition of two cult-favourites with series of Narcos and Mad Men both now available to watch.
The fact you don't have to reach for your wallet is down to the rise in FAST TV content. That stands for Free, ad-supported television and means what you watch is paid for by showing sponsored messages.
Speaking about the update Jennifer Batty, European head of content acquisition at Samsung TV Plus said: “Samsung TV Plus continues to push the boundaries of what FAST can offer audiences – providing not just the best, high-quality content, but also the best of the best. The Sopranos and Mad Men – both part of the golden age of television and both lauded as the greatest television series of all time – have now found a new home in FAST, allowing even more audiences to discover these incredible shows for the first time, or for old fans to rediscover and watch over and over again – all in a free-to-access environment. ”
