Tesco is giving thousands of shoppers £500 worth of vouchers to help cover their supermarket shop this Christmas.
The "Win your Christmas Shop" competition is running between November 27 and December 17 and the supermarket chain will be giving the 2,000 winners two £250 Tesco gift cards. One will be for them and the second for a friend, family member or charity.
The competition is open to all 14.4million Clubcard members and all you need to do to enter is to spend £1 in a Tesco store. You can also join if you spend a minimum of £50 online, £25 using Click and Collect, or £15 using Tesco's Whoosh.
You will need to use your Clubcard for the purchase and keep the receipt this can be either a physical or an online receipt. You then need to upload this receipt to the website: TescoWinYourChristmasShop.com.
There will be three weekly prize draws to enter before Christmas and you can enter once each week but sadly each household can only use one receipt. Winners for the week will be randomly selected, announced and contacted the week after.
If you have won, the supermarket chain will email you and you will then have 10 days to claim your £500 prize. They will then be sent their £250 e-giftcards which they can then redeem in-store. They will not be able to use these gift cards for their online shopping or at a Tesco Petrol station. If you do claim your prize after December 21 sadly it will not be
Tesco says over 650 winners will be announced each week and overall the supermarket chain will be giving out over £1million to help shoppers cover the costs of their Christmas shop this year.
Tesco shoppers have also recently been warned that over £16million worth of Clubcard vouchers are set to expire this week. Shoppers who were given Clubcard vouchers in November 2021 only have until tomorrow (November 30) to spend them, if not they not be able to spend them and will lose them forever.
Shoppers can collect points in a variety of different ways. Clubcard members get one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on groceries in stores and online. Drivers also get one point for every two litres of fuel they buy at Tesco petrol stations. Additionally, every £1 spent on Tesco Mobile is worth one point, while every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card is also worth one point. Alongside this, you can get one point for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.
You need a minimum of 150 points to get a Clubcard voucher, which will be worth £1.50 and Tesco issues Clubcard vouchers every three months. They then expire two years after they have been collected.
You can check your Clubcard balance by logging into the Tesco Clubcard website with your account details. Once you are logged in, click on “my Clubcard account” and then “vouchers” and you should see a table listing the vouchers you still have to spend.
