Tesco is now selling makeup and nail products online on its website - meaning shoppers can now order these products for home delivery.

The supermarket has listed more than 300 cosmetic items from brands including Rimmel and Sally Hansen. Thousands more products from household names including L’Oréal Paris and Maybelline to be added in the new year.

As well as home delivery, shoppers can also choose to order these products for click and collect. Deliveries will be available initially from the majority of stores, with the full online roll-out set to be completed by early next year.

Tesco has made the move in response to customer feedback, which found that “mascara” was in the top 20 most searched-for products that weren’t available for home delivery on Tesco.com, along with searches for “Rimmel” and “Maybelline”.

An anytime delivery pass from Tesco costs £7.99 a month for six months or £6.99 a month for 12 months. Tesco also offers an off-peak delivery pass, which costs £4.99 a month for six months or £3.99 a month for 12 months. The Tesco click and collect saver pass costs £2.49 a month.

Tom Lye, Tesco Category Director for Health and Beauty, said: “Customers tell us that they often search on our website and app for makeup and nail products, so we are incredibly excited to be able to answer their beauty needs for the first time, and bring customers even more of the products they are looking for at Tesco.”

Tesco shoppers have just under two weeks left to spend more than £16million worth of Clubcard vouchers before they expire. The supermarket issues Clubcard vouchers every three months - in February, May, August and November - and they last for two years. The ones expiring soon will run out on November 30, having first been sent to customers in November 2021.

Tesco shoppers get one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on groceries in stores and online, or if you have a car, drivers can get one point for every two litres of fuel you buy at Tesco petrol stations. Additionally, every £1 spent on Tesco Mobile is worth one point, while every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card is also worth one point. You'll also get one point for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.

You need a minimum of 150 points to get a Clubcard voucher, which will be worth £1.50 to spend in Tesco. It is possible to double the value of your points if you use them with a “Rewards Partner” - you can spend your vouchers include Thorpe Park, Pizza Express and the RAC.
