Watch out BT and Vrigin Media —Vodafone is about to launch its fastest-ever full fibre broadband that beats all of its rivals when it comes tp speed.

When it launches next year, Vodafone reckons more than 13 million homes across the UK will have access to its Pro II service which can deliver blisteringly fast downloads at over 2.1Gbps.

In practical terms, it means you could download Call of Duty in around three minutes or download an entire HD TV show in under 12 seconds.

Vodafone claims its new Pro II broadband will be much faster than EE's top offering

CityFibre isn't available everywhere in the UK, so not everyone will be able to sign up to the service. However, this network is quickly expanding and is popping up in more towns and cities across the country every month.

The Pro II broadband service costs £38 per month and will be powered by Vodafone's new WiFi6e Ultra Hub and Booster. The company claims this will make it 60x faster than standard broadband, although it's still not as fast as the London-based Community Fibre's top 3GB/s broadband package.

Max Taylor, Chief Commercial Officer at Vodafone UK, said: "We're the biggest Full Fibre provider in the UK, with the UK's fastest router at unbeatable value for money. These new 2.2Gbps speeds are going to be a game changer in 2024.

"Being able to provide our customers with these phenomenal speeds, showcases the true capability of our Pro II broadband, customers will be able to get the fastest broadband speeds, in all corners of the home and at an amazing price."

Existing Vodafone customers can find out more about their eligibility for the service by contacting Vodafone directly via telephone or its website.
